Noah and Francis fight for GOLD! thumbnailTeam Evolve along with Richard McQueen and Jason McCabe with their haul of medals from the North South Challenge at the weekend.

A LIMAVADY father and son team have used their love for martial arts to bring them closer together and win gold medals along the way. Along with his 14-year-old son Francis, Noah Boldman set up 'Team Evolve,' a mixed martial arts group based in the town, hoping to bring the community together through their passion for the sport.
Originally from Chicago, coach Noah entered Team Evolve into the North South Challenge, an annual Brazilian Ju Jitsu (BJJ) Tournament held in Monaghan, on Saturday (September 23).
Approximately 15 teams from all over Ireland competed in the challenge, with Limavady's Team Evolve coming home with an amazing seven medals; four gold, two silver, and one bronze.
Francis and Noah both picked up gold, Noah in the adult division, as well as Eamon McIlhiney and Ardon Kane who also fought their way to gold medals. Ethan Kane and Andy Chapman scooped silver medals, and Stathi Skentos picked up the bronze medal for Team Evolve. Team Evolve are currently in the process of opening a BJJ facility in Limavady affiliated with both BJJ Revolution (an international BJJ organization) and Team Ryano, Dublin (the most well established BJJ club in the country).
