Proud Paul keeping his feet on the ground thumbnailLimavady United manager Paul Owens with his ‘hat-trick’ of trophies from last season

DESPITE his young age, manager Paul Owens is too experienced to get carried away with statistics, but as he marked his one hundredth game in charge of Limavady United at the weekend, the stats show that with an impressive 72 wins since he became boss, he is now the most successful manager in the club's recent history.
Saturday saw Owens take charge of his team for the one hundredth time since his appointment in January 2015, raking up a brilliant record of 72 wins, 12 draws and 15 losses, with 234 goals scored and 94 conceded in that time.
This gives the Roesider's 'gaffer' a percentage win rate of 72.75; last Saturday's (August 12) victory over the Welders saw him finally inch ahead of Oran Kearney who had won 48 of his 66 games at the helm at a rate of 72.73, making him United's most successful manager of modern times.
