A RALLY cry has been issued by Limavady United manager Paul Owens ahead of his teams big league kick-off on Saturday.
Following a narrow victory against Portstewart in the League Cup on Saturday (August 5), the Roesiders are gearing up for their new season in NIFL Championship this weekend.
Player/Manager Paul Owens knows the task will be tough but has full faith in the squad he has built over the summer to compete in the more competitive Championship.
Owens said: "We had a good win over Portstewart as they were unbeaten at home. But, we suffered a few set backs through injuries and a sending off.
“It made me see where we can improve and it highlighted a few things we need to work on.
“In saying that, cup football is all about results and we got the result we needed to progress to the next round. It was good to get the season off and running."
Hunger and desire have been strong characteristics of Owens squad this past few years, and the manager is once again rallying his team to be ready for the league.
