Roesiders through in Cup - Super sub McKeever clinches win thumbnail

LIMAVADY United were really made to struggle before overcoming their neighbours and the loss of Gary McFadden to a second yellow card with almost half an hour remaining, and were rewarded with a home tie against PSNI in the next round, but Portstewart deserve great credit for a fighting display.
United started brightly, and in the third minute Watt had an overhead cross from inside the box cleared off the line. Two minutes later Ryan Logue was allowed to burst into the box to collect a good pass from Gillan, but his shot was delayed and Bedwarz was able to block.
Harkin was next to go close, heading just wide. However the Seahawks had a let off on the quarter hour, when Hume took a free kick which beat the wall and bounced off the post and was cleared before King could steer the ball home.
The little striker brought an excellent save out of the goalkeeper two minutes later, with a dipping effort from wide on the right which was acrobatically clawed away from the top corner by Bedwarz.
This was the closest either side went to scoring until just before the break, when McAllister put in a cross from wide on the left which hit the post with Wells stranded.
The second half was less than a minute old when United broke the deadlock, latching on to Richard King's long ball and after a deft touch taking the ball away from the keeper, he was able to stroke the ball into the net.
