Rahm raid ensures Irish Open success thumbnailPopular Spaniard Jon Rahm has paid tribute to the fans who cheered him to success in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open at the weekend.

NEWLY crowned Dubai Duty Free Irish Open champion Jon Rahm has vowed to defend his title at Ballyliffin next year after declaring his love for the north coast of Ireland.
The 22-year-old Spaniard - who enjoyed the support of the huge galleries at Portstewart - destroyed a quality field on his way to securing a maiden victory on the European Tour on Sunday.
He shot a final round 65 to finish on 24 under par, six shots ahead of joint runner-ups, England's Matthew Southgate and Richie Ramsey from Scotland, who both finished on 18 under par.
Overnight leader Daniel Im fell away in the closing stages to share fourth place with a number of players, including Olympic champion Justin Rose.
