Toland & McCloskey win Qualifiers at Roe Park thumbnailBarry Toland, winner of Thursday’s Roe Park Qualifier teeing off at the first hole at Roe Park.

IT was one of the busiest weeks of the year last week at Roe Park as Irish Open fever started to hit across the north coast.
There was plenty to play for with two Captains' Prize competitions and the annual Roe Park Cup Qualifier Stableford competitions.
First up was Thursday's Qualifier which was played in superb weather conditions and saw a huge turnout from members keen to make the top four positions and qualify for the matchplay finals.
Barry Toland was the victor and qualified comfortably by scoring a superb score 43 points.
His winning round included 10 pars and a birdie at the tough par three 12th hole.
John Lee found some form to finish runner-up with 41 points and Paul Cobb took third with a solid 39 points.
Nigel Mearns scored 36 points to take the gross prize and the final qualifying spot. The second qualifier took place on Saturday which again saw a huge turnout from members.
