Drumsurn end Drum's unbeaten home record thumbnailDrumsurnís Pearse McNicholl in action against Drum.

After five successive defeats, a Drumsurn team back to near full strength ended Drum's unbeaten home record.
In a tight marking contest where every ball was fought for with great zeal, it was an early Ryan Mullan goal that put Declan Toner's men on the road to victory. Drum were off key with their shooting but after getting three points to level, Drumsurn hit the next three to lead at the interval by 1-3 to 0-3.
With full forward Pearse McNicholl causing all kinds of problems for the St. Colm's defence, it was his goal in the opening minutes that put the St. Matthews' on the victory trail. The powerful Darly Mullan, back after a cruciate ligament injury, showed what his team had been missing when he sealed the deal with his team's third goal. Drum were well beaten in the end and 14 wides did not help their cause.
Drumsurn: Daryl Mullan 2-0, Pearse McNicholl 1-2, Ryan Mullan 1-0, Ciaran Mullan 0-2 and Anthony McLaughlin 0-1.
Drum: Donal Brolly 0-4, Conor O'Reilly and Niall Ferris 0-2 each, CJ McCloskey 0-1.
