Forsythe warms up for Golfer of the Year with victory at Roe Park thumbnailJohnny Forsythe tees off on his way to victory in Saturday’s Spring League Club Stableford at Roe Park, sponsored by Limavady Travel.

IT was all systems go at Roe Park last week as a spell of dry weather blew in across the province, giving a helping hand to many a parkland course greenkeeper and to the many golfers who turned out as a result.
There was plenty to play for with players scrambling to get vital points for their respective Spring League teams. First up was a Club Stableford on Thursday, played in brisk windy conditions making it tough to get a solid score.
Stephen Lunn showed how it's done with a fine display of powerful straight hitting to give him the victory with 37 points. John Lee also played well in the tough conditions to secure the runner-up spot with 36 points. Eamon Butcher was third, beating three other players who all scored 35 points on count back, thanks to a solid back nine finish.
Limavady Travel sponsored the Club Stableford on Saturday which was played in dry but very windy conditions.
