New season dawns for young Matthew thumbnailBallykelly schoolboy Matthew Nicholl, with his immaculate Vauxhall Corsa Production Rod, unveiled at the Autosport International Car Racing Show at the NEC Birmingham in January.

MARCH has arrived and with it, not only do we get the benefit of longer days and better weather but also the stock car racing season is back upon us.
This month will see a few practise days and finally a return to racing for many of the very hard working drivers, friends and team mates who will emerge into the daylight from many hours spent in garages over the winter period where they will hope to have found that extra speed that could help them challenge for one of the coveted titles on offer during 2017.
Certainly, Ballykelly driver Matthew Nicholl will be aiming to be right at the front of the pack once again this year as, together with his dad Leigh, they have been extremely busy over the winter nights and unveiled a new Vauxhall Corsa Junior Rod in January at the Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
The car, looking immaculate, was certainly one of the stars of the show at the NEC but remains untested and will be one to watch when it hits the track very shortly.
