Banbridge Town..............0 Limavady United.............3

ANYONE watching this very impressive performance will struggle to understand how United were defeated by Town only a few weeks ago. On a ground where they have struggled in recent years, the Roesiders were completely dominant from start to finish and, one outstanding save apart, Paul Wells will rarely have had a quieter afternoon.
For the first time in a few weeks, United were quickly out of the blocks and took the game by the scruff of the neck. However, Wells had to be alert in the eighth minute as Moffatt tried to catch him out with a free kick just outside the box, aiming for the bottom corner when everyone was expecting a cross. Two minutes later, McCready, who was at his best in this match, took the ball to the line and crossed from an acute angle but no one was on hand to tap the ball in.
Normally encounters between these sides follow a familiar pattern with Town harrying United on the tight and heavy pitch to disrupt their visitors' game and even when they have been victorious, it would be fair to say that Limavady have always struggled however this time it was different.
The Roesiders simply did not permit Banbridge to play their game and Carlin, McFadden and especially Lee Harkin were dominant in the midfield. However for all their control, they did not create a clear chance until the 20th minute when McCready's ball over the top fell perfectly for Hume who left no fewer than three defenders trailing in his wake before coolly slotting the ball under Murphy.
