Winter Eclectic League gets underway at Roe Park Golf Club thumbnailNigel Mearns, Roe Park Golfer of the Year 2016, who has continued his amazing form in 2017 with top three finishes in the last two competitions.

ROE Park members have certainly benefited from the mild winter thus far as they continued to turn out in huge numbers to make the most of it.
As an added bonus, the club have begun a new competition called 'The Winter Eclectic League' consisting of four man teams. Each player must put in a stroke play score in either of the weekly club Stableford competitions to be in with a chance of the top prizes. It is an exciting format and will certainly keep members entertained as all four players in each team must perform to help their team out.
Danny Butcher saw the New Year out in style with a victory in the New Years' Eve Club Stableford. He scored 42 points and just pipped 2016 Golfer of the Year Nigel Mearns, who had the same score, on count back.
