AGHANLOO United booked their place in this year's semi-final with a hard fought victory over Newtowne Valley. United were once again indebted to Paul Owens who, for the consecutive match, scored a hat trick.
The game started off slowly but after 5 minutes, both teams settled into the game with some good passages of play and it was Owens who opened the scoring. Paul will be the first to say lady luck was on his side as a shot from 30 yards took a deflection to give Newtowne's goalkeeper Dean McInnes no chance.
The question on everyone's lips was how Newtowne would respond and in fairness, they showed real character about themselves with Conor Logue and Oisin Hassan causing problems for Aghanloo.
