Vital win for Roesiders thumbnailLimavady United striker Joe McCreadie in action against Larne on Friday night.

Limavady United..........1 Larne...........0

LIMAVADY United put their recent wretched run of form behind them to record a welcome 1-0 win over high flying Larne courtesy of Zach Barr's 70th minute header.
This was as good a performance as United have produced this season, and even if some might argue that the visitors had one eye on next week's cup semi- final, the fact remains that they were well beaten by the hosts.
United started cautiously as was to be expected of a team with only one win in twelve previous outings.
In spite of this, and the absence of some big name players might have been expected to sit back and counter-attack.
So it proved in the first ten minutes, but even so the visitors had an early chance, as Stewart was foiled by a fine block by Wells, and the rebound fell to Thompson steaming into the box but he blazed the ball wide.
