Pig farm plan blasted thumbnailFarmland near Moys Road, the site of the proposed pig farm.

AS opposition grows against a proposed controversial pig farm outside Limavady, the local residents group has expressed frustration and accused government bodies of a "serious lack of due diligence."
To date there have been 3537 objection letters logged on the Northern Ireland planning portal website, and four supporting comments, for the proposed development of four pig breeding units to house a total of 2247 sows, on land off Moys Road, near the Glenhead Road.
The four letters of support are from John Thompson's Animal Feeds, Strule Veterinary Services, Karro Foods and NI Food & Drink Association.
Five petitions against the pig farm have been submitted with signatures totalling 13,037.
