LIMAVADY United climbed into the top half of the table on Saturday with a performance full of character and resolve.
They did it the hard way too, coming from behind to beat one of the division's top sides, and unlike last week, once they had gone in front, there was never any danger of losing the lead as they had done the previous week.
The hard work being done by Paul Owens and his team is being rewarded by improvements week on week.
The first half was a virtual non-event and a long range effort from Glenn Law in the 22nd minute apart, the home side failed to trouble the visitors. At the other end, Breda had a couple of half chances just before the half hour but on both occasions, Wells was able to deny them.
The good crowd braced itself for another 45 minutes of honest endeavour but little excitement in the cold, but something had happened in both dressing rooms as the teams came out transformed and had a real go.
United were lucky not to fall behind on 48 minutes as Rutherford nearly nipped past Watt to collect a long ball but Wells was alert to clear. United responded on 52 minutes with an Owens free kick just over and two minutes later, Law's precise pass into the box picked out Hume and the little striker took a touch before blazing over the bar.
