Emma returns to her roots thumbnailEmma Lusby entertains on stage at the Stendhal Festival

RETURNING to her Roe Valley roots, singer songwriter Emma Lusby received a warm welcome home at this year's famous Stendhal festival.
The Limavady Irish folk musician and singer was "very excited" to play on one of the main stages at the seventh annual festival.
A huge fan of the local festival, Emma explained: "It was named Ireland's Best Small Festival in 2016 for a reason and it gets better every year!"
Currently about to begin her final year of adult nursing at John Moore's University, Liverpool, Emma is a past pupil of Limavady Grammar School and joined the McCafferty School of Music and the Dungiven Comhaltas for singing lessons and to learn traditional music.
She told the Northern Constitution that at 16, she learned the guitar and fell in love with folk music which she began to collect and perform.
