Home Bargains store coming to Limavady? thumbnail

DISCOUNT store Home Bargains could be opening its doors in Limavady in the not too distant future, it was revealed this week.
A pre-planning application community consultation took place in Limavady Library last Wednesday and the organisers have been delighted with the response from local residents.
The purpose of the event was to make the local community aware of the proposed development before a planning application is submitted and to afford the community the opportunity to discuss the proposal with the Design Team.
Home Bargains, the largest independent grocer in the country, is proposing to erect a 20,000 sq ft retail unit with 150 car parking spaces in the former Market Yard which was identified as an "opportunity site" by both the Limavady Town Centre Masterplan 2011 and the Northern Area Plan 2016.
Not only would the store create much needed jobs in the Roe Valley, it would also give the local economy a healthy boost.
