A SHOWCASE of musical wonder was on offer from a group of limelight loving Limavady kids as they aim to become the next stars of musical theatre.
tie Patton gathered a gang of 42 children from eight local schools to take part in a 'crash course' in singing and performing, culminating in a blockbuster show on Saturday night (July 29).
Katie is artistic director of Warwick Avenue Productions, a musical theatre company geared towards encouraging adults and young people to realise their potential and gain professional theatre training. 'The New Musical Project' is a self-funded cross community musical performance pulling in children aged five to 12 years of all backgrounds within the Limavady borough area to create a musical in just five days.
The aim was to hone in on the triple threads of musical theatre performance - dance, singing and acting - all facilitated by local industry professionals.
Limavady choreographer Anna Kilgore, whose father Marshall is principal of Drumachose PS, helped Katie get the kids into shape for their big performance.
