THE Glens Estate, Limavady, is set for a 'blooming' spruce up thanks to special funding from the Housing Executive. The Glens Community Association have received monetary investment through the Housing Executive's Social Enterprise Programme of £1,000 to provide a gardening and outside home maintenance service for residents in the area.
The money has been used to purchase gardening equipment to enhance the local area. Lawnmowers, garden blowers, hedge trimmers and essential clothing items have been secured to take the project forward.
The much appreciated community association offers a wide range of resources across the local community.
Classes such as IT courses, gardening and sewing are available, as well as website designing and inclusion programmes for young people in the Glens Estate area.
