Thieves strike at home of bereaved family

Thursday, 19 January 2012

A BEREAVED Limavady family have spoken of their anger and disgust following the theft of oil and an oil burner from the family home. The oil and burner were stolen from Roeview Park sometime between 5.30am and 11am on January 14.
Four children are currently being cared for in the home following the recent passing of their mum following a long illness, and had only laid her to rest some five days before the theft took place.
Relatives are shocked by the callous behaviour shown by the thieves. They have asked not to be named publicly but said:
“These children just buried their mum last Monday, which is one of the most difficult things a person can go through, and some five days later, someone enters their property and steals their oil and the burner.
